I like to photograph families just about anywhere, but when it comes to newborns, I’m especially drawn to the intimacy of home. Home is not only cozy and comfortable, but portraits taken in the home are more personal and can evoke memories for years to come. It barely takes any time for the tiny bundle in your arms to become a racing toddler, then all the sudden they’re off to school. When I photographed Syd, I wanted to capture his sweet, curious nature and the closeness of his parents. Cuddle time seemed to be a top priority for Syd and who could deny him with that beautiful face? It was such a pleasure to photograph these fleeting moments and I can’t wait to photography Syd in his next stage of life.
